I agree.  When you install SuSE, use the expert mode, so that you will
be able to choose the existing swap... or .. if you choose the regular
install, I think it will pick it up anyway, you always have the option
to look at what it will do, and go back to change things while doing the
install.  The other thing you may do is in /etc/fstab, change the swap
to where it is already on your HD from a previous distro. 

As mentioned previously, SuSE will pick up your other partitions, and
put them in fstab for you. You can mount them and use them, including
the other distro partitons, however, if you mount and use them, the next
time you go into the other distro, it will go through fsck.  SuSe, in my
experience, has a very good habit of correctly picking up other distro
partitions, as well as winders.. The easiest way I found is if you have
Partition Magic or some such, cut yourself a slice (oops, BSD term),
partition on your HD, and just leave it unformatted. SuSE will pick it
up immediately to install in that area.
