Heh. You already know I have. Anyway, I decided to install the
SDL_image-devel packages and Aleph itself just out of the fear of you
making me toy around with the source for it. Here be my output:
[kliren:~] rpm -Uvh /cdrom/RedHat/RPMS/SDL_image-devel-1.2.0-3.i386.rpm
Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
1:SDL_image-devel ########################################### [100%]
[kliren:~] rpm -ql SDL_image-devel
/usr/include/SDL
/usr/include/SDL/SDL_image.h
/usr/lib/libSDL_image.a
/usr/lib/libSDL_image.so
[kliren:~/sources/AlephOne-0.12.0] ./configure
{ supressed configure output : elapsed time 17s : no errors }
[kliren:~/sources/AlephOne-0.12.0] make
{ supressed make output : elapsed time 3m27s : no errors }
[kliren:~/sources/AlephOne-0.12.0] make install
{ supressed make install output : elapsed time 3s : no errors)
[kliren:~] /usr/local/bin/alephone
FATAL: Please be sure the files 'Map', 'Shapes', 'Images' and 'Sounds' are
correctly installed and try again. (error -1)
</output>
Even though I'm too lazy to download the little level pack they have on
the site for it to make sure it runs right, I didn't get any really
serious warnings when trying to run it. How nice :-)
