Since I told Stan about this, I actually figured out a clean way to
improve that code.  I finally got around to implementing what I had
been thinking today...  Now the main page looks like this:

   Meeting Info:

   The  Southern  Illinois  Linux  Users  Group  serves  all  of Southern
   Illinois.  Meetings  are  currently held in Carbondale and in O'Fallon
   (St. Louis Metro East).

   Meetings  are held in Carbondale on the 1^st Monday of each month from
   7  PM  to  9  PM  in the Life Sciences III 1059 Auditorium on the SIUC
   campus.

   (The  August  6,  2001 meeting has been cancelled for summer vacation.
   The September 3, 2001 meeting has been cancelled for Labor Day.)

   The next Carbondale meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 1, 2001.

   Starting  in  July 2001, the Metro East meetings will be moving to the
   O'Fallon  City  Library  in  O'Fallon, Illinois on the 1^st Tuesday of
   each  month  from  7  PM  to 9 PM. (Steve Reindl posted some excellent
   directions here.)

   The next O'Fallon meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 7, 2001.

   Please  note: This meeting will not be held at the Library. Please see
   the news below for more information.

I entered in all of the legal holidays until the end of 2002...  I
hadn't realized that the September meeting in Carbondale fell on Labor
Day.  Anyway, the page now checks meeting cancellations, and, as an
added bonus, I can put in notes about specific meetings.

Well, the code I wrote today was written in between diaper changes, so
it is not necessarily of the highest quality.  Please let me know if
you see anything wrong.
