A person from Argonne is scheduled to speak at SIUC and
his topic includes Linux Clusters. Argonne has the 512-
processor Beowulf called Chiba City. His topic in general
is an introduction to high performance computing. He will
also be talking about visualization technology by
discussing the ANL CAVE and Active Mural. It is set for
Tuesday, April 24, at 4:00 p.m., in the Life Science III
Auditorium, Room 1059. His name is Dr. Michael Minkoff
and he is the Principal Applications Scientist at
Argonne National Laboratory near Chicago. This colloquium
is sponsored by the math and CS departments.
