The menu is controlled by the Window Manager you use.  If it's 
fvwm, then ~/.fvwmrc if Window Maker ~/GNUstep/Defaults/, if 
AfterStep ~/.steprc, and so on.  You may have to create the 
~/.xinitrc.  If you want to move the windows for these apps around, 
and really do anything with more than one, you need a window 
manager.  My advice is to get the newest version of Window Maker 
(0.53.0) build it. ;)  It has a graphical configuration program and if 
you ever need help, you can hop onto irc.ais.net #WindowMaker 
and me(sig11), or someone else will help you right away. ;)  That 
help or did I just confuse you more? ;)
