help!!!!

Okay, I'm writing a system for my work here that involves an "Auto Purchase
Order" system that uses a Windows client I wrote for the retailer, which
generates a PO, and then sends it to a Linux server we have here. Then, the
Linux server sends these PO files to their respective wholesalers every 15
minutes via a cron job. The program that sends thse POs is what I'm having
trouble with. I've set up the whole serial port interface to do the dialing,
but I've run into a problem which is......how do I transfer the files? I
mean, I would normally use a Z or X modem transfer, but, I'd have to write
those protocols into my C source code. What I'd rather do is use a scripting
language that can send X or Z modem (preferablly X for reasons I'll not go
into) transfers inside of the script. Anyone know of such a beast? any help
would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks!!
