Tom,

As I said, I've already checked the content of nsswitch.conf. It
contains:
    hosts:      files dns

Paul,

The file hosts.conf is unchanged and contains the line:
    order hosts,bind

Since everything worked in FC3, what we're looking for is something that
has changed that behavior in FC4.
