Market for Laptops

I am in the market for a medium range Linux laptop. If anyone runs across any 
good deals, is selling one,  or knows of any, please forward them over.

I'm looking for something around 1GHz AMD level bandwidth, with WIFI.

Other than that, I don't care about architecture or OS, I'm just going to put 
my own flavor of Linux on it anyway (KDE/Debian) .

I would like to pay under 1k.
