Ack, Darl McBride deserves a Happy New Year.  After all, this might be
the year they can't outlast their own mess.  Currently it doesn't look
like they will get a jury trial until 2006.

SCO should have stopped at suing IBM in March 2003.  Once they made it
formally about IP transfer to Linux in May 2003, and not just the
non-compete in the x86/IA-64 space, they shot themselves in the foot.

retraining for the latter, omitted "software assurance" costs in 
compatible desktop OS/apps for the former, no free/legacy reuse for
latter, and no basic security, patch or downtime comparison at all.
