Re: KDE volume management



Ok, it gets weirder.
I discovered that I can get KDE to turn up the sound, I just tell it to 
autodetect, load the correct driver, and enable all the sounds, works great.
Now the weird part.
They are not the same sounds I was hearing before, in fact those sounds still 
seem to exist very softly below the main sounds I have turned on.
I'm guessing it's some other strange daemon working below the surface, but I 
can't find it., ps aux is pasted below.
Has anyone else seen something like this?
It's not a big deal I guess, I can just turn down the speakers and turn up the 
KDE sound, but, it's weird.

Alsa is not installed by the way,  I have no idea what KDE is running it 
through (3.2)
