Probably not until next summer.

You can have it now for ~$90. Or you can have it in six months for ~$0.

The freedom to choose is yours.

If you can't stomach the $$$, there are plenty of other free-beer Debian-based distros. Just not with the unique toys that come with the Xandros one.

I really like the new 2.6 kernel. It just seems easier to hook in new modules.

It also seems "snappier" than the 2.4 kernel on the same hardware.

It is _not_ a "Linux Tinkerer's" distro. i.e. someone who will get upset when Xandros installer doesn't recognize their 8-way distro-slut LVM GRUB-booting P3 pre-Y2K system's ... er ... "nuances", and hoses it up.

But if you're OK with that risk, and just want to see what hardware you can throw at it (that might not get picked up by other Debian-based distros), then it might make for some interesting times.

And if you're a Windows Refugee, and thought Xandros 2 might fit the bill, X3 definitely will.
