KVM: IOGear = good , Belkin = bad

There is one "gotcha" about running Firefox 0.9, Mozilla 1.7, and other
very recent releases from Mozilla Foundation. The Netscape Security
Services (NSS) module with all the SSL/TLS support has been upgraded
from v3.8 to v3.9. This upgrade involves some non-trivial changes to its
API and to the crypto algorithms it supports. As a result, the FIPS
140-1 certification for NSS v3.8 (certs #247 and #248 under the
Cryptographic Module Validation Program - CMVP) are not valid for NSS
v3.9. "Who gives a rat's flyin' patootie?", I hear you mutter. Uncle
Sam, that's who. Government users of Mozilla products are prohibited
from using any releases based on the uncertified NSS v3.9 in the conduct
of their daily duties. And that's too bad because Moz 1.7 has some nice
new features.
