ok i would go to www.linuxdocs.org, www.linux.com, the forums on 
www.arstechnica.com, the forums on www.osnews.com.

there used to be a site that was named something like linuxnewbie.org but 
what is there now is not what i remember (it might have changed though)

i would start at those sites first.
