Backup utils

Anyone have a backup utility that they like?  In my case I'm looking for
something that is more or less menu driven and is at your average users
level.  Basically we're putting together a box with AIT-3, DAT, and CD-R
and I'd like to have one program that can talk to all three (with DVD-R in
the future).  

I'd like to avoid using dump as this will probably make the backups across
an NFS mount.  tar is good, zip support good too since a lot of this data
may end up coming from windows users.  

Thoughts, suggestions?
