I can't imagine why.  I vaguely recall that some of the upgrades were
somewhat more painful than you'd like, since you had to reconfigure
sendmail, apache, and various other things because of config file
changes, but I've *never* had an upgrade go completely wrong.  This
goes all the way back to RH 2.1 -> 3.0.3...

7.x -> 7.x seems to be about as painless as it gets.

The only issue that I've seen with 7.3 specifically is with KDE.  The
7.3 packages are broken up some, so there's a separate package for
kcalc, kcharselect, kcoloredit, kdict, kedit, etc., etc.  If you care
about these things, you just need to make sure you select all of those
packages.  (Or accept that you'll have to install them later, I
suppose.)

Even apt-get dist-upgrade *almost* works going from 7.2 to 7.3.
