Now this thread makes me happy.  The reason being that it is sparking
discussion on the creation of apps that run on Linux/BSD, to replace, or
coexist with apps that are only Windows apps.  My word of warning though
is that if you plan on doing this, write the programs well.  Don't
half-ass it.  I have seen lots of replacement apps for Linux that do
exactly that.  They come about half way, until the program has somewhat of
a resemblance to its Windows counterpart, and then the developer
disappears.  Hmm...maybe MS is hiring hitmen.  Anyway, just be concerned
about quality.  It'd be great to see some killer apps for education come
out of this little group.
