i took a 2k server install from a p3 1.13 and moved it into a dual athlon
rig.  all new hardware was detected and changed with the exception of
support for smp.  quick reinstall of 2k and smp was up and running.  ive
moved 2k installs between totally different machines many times and not had
a hitch...
