I was doing some research for my neighbor about classes she could take at
SWIC, and I ran across an on-line course listing which covers Linux!

UNIX Operating Systems

This course introduces the fundamentals of the UNIX
operating system using Redhat Linux. The basics of UNIX file
system, file processing , editors, basic shell programming,
utilities, and the X Window System will be presented.
Students taking the class should have a knowledge of DOS and
Windows 95/98. An understanding of basic programming
concepts would also be helpful.
